Right from the start, IRT has had the results of its therapy evaluated by independent experts and institutes. Evaluation has always been based on the visible and quantifiable response of nature on the site being treated.
Tests have been performed in a number of European
countries and a summary of some of the results is
outlined below.
The trials and experimental designs are described in
section 6.
Report by Dipl. Forstwirt Norbert Schillings - October
1987
At the end of the first vegetation period the treated
area showed a clear improvement in the vitality of the
spruce seedlings. This was observed both in their
outward appearance and in the roots.
Report by Prof. Dr. B. Streit of the
Zoological Institute at Frankfurt University - February
1988
An adaptability test (chi squared) with an error
probability of p<0.05 indicates a significant
increase in the abundance of soil life in the treated
area.
Report by Berthold Leendertz, dendrologist -
March 1988
Just five weeks after sowing, the dwarf beans in the
treated area were bushier and taller than those in the
untreated area. We harvested 73 kg beans from the
treated area and 53 kg from the untreated area.
We performed taste tests on 20 people. The results of
the blind test were quite clear: the treated beans were
tastier, sweeter and less stringy. Their colour was
also brighter.
Report by Dipl. Forstwirt Norbert Schillings -
October 1988
One clear effect was that the treated seedlings were
up to 17 % longer than the untreated ones in 1988,
compared with a difference of around 10 % in June
1987.
In 1988 the ratio of above-ground to below-ground
plant parts was 58:42 with treated seedlings and 64:32
with untreated seedlings. This means that the treated
seedlings formed more root mass in 1988.
